Position Description

SAP ABAP developer for Treasury’s highly complex Corporate Income Tax, Michigan Business Tax system, Individual Income Tax system, and other Treasury applications. Performs application development duties related to the design, development, enhancement, implementation and maintenance of ABAP, XI, Business Objects Workflow, BASIS SAP environment, Serves as a technical consultant to Treasury clients to develop solutions to streamline critical business processes according to Treasury’s strategic plan. This position is integral to developing and maintaining Treasury’s automated processes, streamlining critical business processes, data integrity, and securing Treasury systems

Skills Required

• SAP ABAP senior level application developement skills. • Design solutions for specific application needs. • Design, develop and document IT solutions that are State of Michigan standard technology. • Develop or modify applications following DTMB Software Engineering Methodology (SEM). • Draft Local Change Board Documents • Build or modify application code utilizing a range of technologies including but not limited to ABAP, XI, Business Objects, Workflow, BASIS, COBOL, XGEN, WFL, Visual Studio, .Net, ASP.Net, VB.Net and Delphi to implement new or modify existing applications and related components. • Perform development and test data file transfers between different systems. • Perform Data Export/Import/Load, Inquiries, and Updates for databases such as DMSII, SQL Server and Oracle. • Participate in the design of DMSII, SQL Server and Oracle databases with senior level analyst(s) and information technology specialist(s). • Develop training content

Skills Preferred

• Work with the business client to create test data and execute approved tests to determine the accuracy of program logic to produce desired results. • Provide defect tracking log entry information following DTMB Software Engineering Methodology (SEM). • Work with the business client to create test scenarios. Design and develop test plans or applications or subsystems. • Test the database and associated design to ensure compliance with the business rules which govern the database. • Design, develop, validate and implement test plans for applications or subsystems. • Execute test plans approved by senior analyst. • Revise program specifications and programs based on testing defects

Experience Required

SAP ABAP program development - 2 years

Education Required

BA or BS. SAP training
