Complete Description:
As part of the OCFO technology team, the consultant will be performing the role of DB2 DBA for two primary systems –Tax system and core financial system.
The DBA will work on maintenance and enhancements.
Required:
8+ years DBA/production support experience
BMC Catalog Manager
BMC Change Manager – Table Changes/Migrations
BMC Utilities: Unload, Load, Reorg, Image Copy
IBM Utility: Recovery
Performance Monitoring/Tuning: BMC Apptune or Omegamon for DB2
Development/Modifications to DB2 database structures
Desirable:
DBA with a development/programming background (vs. one with only a systems background)
SQL/efficient SQL
SQL Explorer/Explains
Running Statistics
Binding plans/packages
DB2 Partitioning or Universal DB
It is critical that the DBA has “BMC” product knowledge.
