*position is located in Chesterfield County, 30 minutes southwest of Richmond, VA

*mgr will ONLY conduct in-person interviews, NO Skype, NO exceptions

*candidates MUST be able to be hired directly by the state (in the future, if budget allows) without sponsorship - hiring salary approximately 85K

 

Chesterfield County is in need of a Microsoft .Net Developer to work as the primary developer on a new Storm Water Management System. 

Candidates should have graduated from an accredited college with a degree in Information Systems or Computer Science and/or progressive IT application development experience.  5 plus years’ experience working with Microsoft technologies including C#, MS SQL, MVC, WCF, Web API, Unit Testing, and SOA concepts required.  Candidate should have a good working knowledge of JavaScript and CSS and be familiar with current strategies for utilizing these tools to provide a clean and rich UI. 

Experience working within all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) required. 

Previous development leadership is preferred. 

Ability to design, develop, and estimate work requirements required. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Experience utilizing TFS for source control and work item tracking preferred. 

Mobile development experience including Responsive web design, utilizing frameworks such as Foundation and Bootstrap a plus.

Experience interfacing with ESRI GIS platforms is a plus.
