Client – DNA FS – Technology Lead – US –  Splunk

In the role of Technology Lead, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Location for this position is San Antonio, TX. This position will require relocation to other client locations.

Qualifications 

Basic


• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in IT industry.
• At least 3 years of experience with Splunk tools

Roles/Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding efforts for new applications in Splunk. Responsible for end to end management of Splunk applications, forwarder configurations and data feeds from other sources
• Provide inputs for identifying best-fit Splunk solution. Understand user stories working with application SMEs. 
• Understand and implement Splunk user access model considering overall access management policies with organization
• Prepare and execute acceptance test plans. Coordinate user acceptance testing
• Technical point of contact throughout the development cycle. Understand BSM requirements and develop applicable solution
• Provide inputs to project manager on planning for Splunk deliverables. Assess and support with risk mitigation strategies 
• Coordinate technical support with vendor for any bugs or problem tickets associated with the tool
• Coordinate with various stake holders such as project lead, business users for Splunk enhancements and problem resolutions. Identify escalation scenarios
• Coordinate with onsite and offshore team for work stack. Mentor and coach team members 
• Review the development work within team. Ensure timely clarification on queries and issues raised
• Ensure that new onboarding requests are prioritized, scoped and create deployment plans for production releases
• Documentation and review of user guides and application support documents
• Present proactive ideas and information in group meetings. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills that non-technical end users can also understand 
• Lead team, create action plans and resolve obstacles to achieve deadlines 
• Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and support the transition process.
• Conduct impact analysis of issues logged, prioritize and ensure that timely resolution is provided 
• Lead POCs and evaluate new tool features and platform requirements. Provides recommendation on system improvement procedures, necessary upgrades and enhancements

Preferred

• At least 4 years of experience in IT
• Has an in-depth knowledge on Splunk Infrastructure and Deployment Models.
• Leadership to coordinate and assign workload with the rest of the team.
• Experience with source code management and change control processes
• Has good conceptual knowledge of systems analysis and design methodologies
• General understanding of Architecture Patterns
• Experience collecting logs from closed appliances such as proxies, firewalls and network devices
• Strong UNIX skills, understanding of Web Application frameworks and Load Balancing concepts
• Experience with requirement gathering from Infrastructure Teams and Security Operation Teams
• Exposure to .net and python programming skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a member of a team
• Adaptable to new technologies based on client requirements
• Ability to work in team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environments
• Experience in Finance domain
• Strong Analytical skills 
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
