Complete Description: Health Care Information Systems is seeking a Security Operations Director for a temporary need.
This position is the technical expert on biomedical research and health care systems security for UI Health Care.
This position requires a broad and deep understanding of health care compliance and regulations, clinical and financial workflows, biomedical equipment configurations, legal issues associated with health care data management and retention, and health care business continuity and disaster recovery.
The position spans information technology security interpretation and enforcement, as well as information technology security management systems and forensics.
The position will report to the CIO for UI Health Care.
There are 3 direct reports to this position. Specific areas of interest are in intrusion detection and prevention as well as incident forensics. While an understanding of strategic direction is in line with the permanent position it probably will not be the main focus during this time. It is essential that the candidate have a solid and current technical security skill set in order to fulfill the role.
