Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform the Q.A. required to assure the delivered solution meets the functional and technical requirements.
Participate in project life-cycle activities from analysis to production implementation with emphasis on testing automation and continuous integration.
Set Q.A. and test strategy, approach, policy and direction; gain agreement from all stakeholders.
Create and maintain a credible, actionable test plan for HIE the project.
Track and communicate project Q.A. status to all the team members both internal and external.
Work with the leadership team to establish internal processes and improvements.
Provide leadership & technical guidance to other Q.A. members; mentors and motivates staff by instilling creativity, positivity, and teamwork.
Recruit and manages the Q.A. team.
Provide quality assessment summaries of SDLC deliverables at milestone checkpoints.
Review software development deliverables such as the Project Plan, Construction Iteration. Plan, Requirements, Use Cases and Integration Test Results for thoroughness and detail;
Ensure all test activities and artifacts are well documented and all non-conformities are recorded and tracked to resolution.
Actively manage the testing of software releases scheduled for production.
Coordinate the effective resolution of defects with the development teams.
Work with users in establishing User Acceptance Testing and quality certification of software being released into production.
Required Skills:
5+ years in Software Quality Assurance or Engineering Management.
Experience with Health Insurance, Eligibility and Claims Payments systems.
Experience in and strong understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies and practices.
Excellent logic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Extensive experience with quality engineering techniques and methodologies; developing test plans, designing, executing and analyzing test cases, writing and interpreting reports, reporting testing status, creating defect and code coverage metrics, and assessing risk.
Experience with managing the validation of multiple complex interfaces.
Broad knowledge of testing approaches , techniques and tools.
Hands on experience leading a team of Q.A. analysts.
Experience reviewing cross discipline deliverables.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills – especially diplomacy and advocacy.
B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Detail oriented with a proven ability to multitask in a fast moving environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements.
Working knowledge of the Agile Continuous Integration Methodology.
Experience with quality tools such as Clear Quest, Requirement Composer and Test Manager.
Team player with strong collaborative skills and the ability to understand and negotiate tradeoffs.
Local candidates are preferred. Must be able to do both a phone screen and on-site interview for this role.
