DGS seeks System Support Specialist to assist in end user support and network administration

The Department of General Services is seeking a Jack/Jill of all trades to support the growing DGS managed network.  Duties include but are not limited to switch configuration, troubleshooting, replacement and installation, network connectivity troubleshooting, desktop hardware, OS, printers, phone, and Multimedia support. The candidate will need to have a basic understanding of Active Directory and entry level network experience.  CCENT or Network + certification required. 

S/he must also have a fundamental understanding of Personal Computer and Information Systems operations. The position includes ensuring items such as diagrams, reference guides, IT procedures, manuals and other technical documents remain up to date for those systems supported. As necessary, the ideal candidate will assist in the authoring of new troubleshooting procedures, guidelines and diagrams. 

The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills for communicating as much of the position will be customer facing. S/he must be able to perform in a team environment.
