JOB DESCRIPTION:

Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter- related project tasks.

Client - Records Management Systems (RMS) Project Manager.

 

Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with extensive knowledge and experience in managing large, fast paced, enterprise system development projects. The contractor shall provide technical expertise managing the new Client records management system.

 

The vision and mission of the Metropolitan Police Department (Client) is to safeguard the District of Columbia and protect its residents and visitors by providing the highest quality police service with integrity, compassion, and commitment to innovation that integrates people, technology and progressive systems. Client is working with a vendor to develop and implement a mission critical system used to support Public Safety. The RMS is used throughout Client to directly assist with our primary goal of public safety. The RMS is used to log and track all field contacts, incidents offenses and arrests. The RMS is also used by 30 plus agencies in DC and supports almost 10,000 law enforcement officials in the District of Columbia.

 

The Contractor shall be a part of the Application Solution team that develops and maintains the RMS. The Contractor shall provide assistance and advice to the Director, RMS and help establish an enterprise level environment for the management, development, monitoring, and remediation of the RMS.

 

The candidate should have outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and business/IT partner interaction skills. In particular, a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions.

CONTRACT TEMPLATE:

 

Responsibilities:

1. Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter- related project tasks.

2. Manages teams of contract Support Personnel at multiple locations.

3. Maintains and manages the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.

4. Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.  Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
