This project provides software support for the engineers on the energy floor. My main duties were to maintain and create reports in the existing system, and to help create new modules in a new system being built in-house. I came in to finish off the contract of a consultant who left early. The technologies used were C# in a Visual Studios 2010 environment, running on .Net version 4. The back end database was Oracle, and we used TOAD to interact with the database. This was a Windows project using Web Services to connect to the database. The version of IIS used is 7.5. We used Infragistics suite of tools for Windows, in the newly created report modules.

The back end database is Oracle, and we used Oracle’s SQL Developer version 2.1.1.64 to interface with the database. This was a contract for the Confidential Traffic Reporting department in Indianapolis. The technologies were varying; they had reports written in classic ASP pages, as well as ASP.net pages with the code behind being C#, all connected to an Oracle database. The pages had both VBScript and JavaScript for the client side scripts. They had Oracle stored procedures and packages that needed to be rewritten. They also had Access programs that need converted. My task was to make changes to the existing reports and to create new reports, to validate test plans from the QA department, and to create an automated validation routine using the tools at hand ( ASP.net, C#, Oracle, JavaScripts.)
