- Provide ongoing support and development for a leading provider of insurance solutions for expatriates and international organizations. This organization offers worldwide car, property, life and health, and specialty and high - risk insurance to clients in more than 170 countries. The applications were built using ASP, ASP.NET C#, SQL Server and Access databases.
- Provided support and development of an existing online Credit Card application with a back-end management application. This site was developed by another company but and many issues such as high number of database deadlocks and security problems. I was brought in to fix the entire system while providing support for current operations. Today this system runs pretty smooth and 70% of its credit card applicants are boarded without any user intervention from the bank.
- The site received in excess of 100 application per day. This site was built with ASP.NET C# and SQL server as the database. This site integrates with Confidential via web services for applicant verification and Confidential questions. Trial deposits are created and exported in Nacha EDI file format.
- Provided technical support and development for an online game trading website as well as support of several supporting applications written in ASP.NET C# and Windows Forms applications. The supporting databases for the application are Microsoft SQL Server. This company was a major supplier of used and refurbished games, movies and game systems to Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy and GameStop.
- Customization and implementation of an off the shelf Ecommerce package for a division of the Genetic Resources Core Facility of the Confidential University School of Medicine. This site handles hundreds of users with more than 150,000 products from 16 of the leading life science companies. This site was written with ASP.NET C# and SQL server as the database.
- Design and development of a web based EDI claims management and data warehousing application. This ASP.NET application with a set of 13 Microsoft SQL server 2005 databases processes validates and stores X12N 837I, 837P and 837D claim files and stores the data in a searchable data warehouse. Integration with a repricing and OCR system also captures and stores repricing information as well as the original Tiff image of paper claims. Reporting was added using Microsoft Reporting engine. Claim information can be exported in both 837, and NSF formats as well as in a tabular format in PDF and Excel. Original claim files are stored in an encrypted state using AES encryption. This application was designed to sit between a clearinghouse and a claims adjudication and payment system and act as a central repository for claims data as well as all supporting documentation.
- Design and development of .NET web services for Sylvan Educate to facilitate user account management and authentication for multiple applications in multiple domains. With this web service, owners can remotely add, edit and delete user accounts in the corporation Active Directory and ASP.NET websites using ASP.Net roles to provide users access and permissions to corporate applications located on different networks.
- Design and development of and EDI interface, database and reporting service for EDI purchase ordering between a large medial service and equipment supplier and the manufacturer. The service pulls purchase order data from a web service and translates the XML output into the X12 850 EDI standard data files as well as stores the data into a database for purchase order tracking. The service also accepts Purchase Order Acknowledgment (EDI 855) and Invoice (EDI 810) data for order acknowledgment and payment purposes. This service was developed with ASP.Net and Microsoft SQL server.
- Redesign and development of a Healthcare claims repricing system. This asp.net web based application was originally written in an earlier version of .NET but suffered from many performance problems and application errors. My responsibility was to stabilize the current application and boost performance. I was then responsible for designing and developing the replacement system while adding additional new features. The new site was developed using Visual Studio 2008, ASP.NET, C# and SQL server as the database. The data access layer was generated using an O/R mapper and the reports developed using Crystal Reports. This new system tracks all database changes into history tables for auditing purposes.
- Development of a complete billing and scheduling system for a Psychologist practice in Baltimore. This system was developed to handle different billing and invoicing requirements for several different clients of the practice.
- This system is also web based and accessible from remote locations by office staff and therapist. History tracking in the database records every change made in the system by any user providing instant access to history data at any time. Scheduling allows therapists to add, edit and delete appointments while providing complete patient history right from the schedule. The billing and scheduling system was built using Visual Studio 2008, ASP.NET, C#, Microsoft SLQ server and Crystal Reports.Application framework development package used for full-service registration, sales lead management and online event service solutions. This application written in C# ASP.NET using Microsoft IIS as the web server and Microsoft SQL server for the database. My responsibilities for this system are to design and integrate new site functionality into the base framework while also supporting several programmers developing customer web sites.

- This system has been in use for several years. The EDI system was developed by a contracting company that is now out of business.
- Unfortunately, the system was left in an incomplete state and without current or complete source code.
- My primary responsibly included merging several different running versions of and EDI claims management system into a single version for disaster recovery purposes and then taking an unfinished second release of this system and filling in the missing code as well as debugging the existing code.
- The end result was an EDI system that Hopkins could now fully support and enhance now that they have a single version and the source code.
- This application was developed in Visual Basic 6.0 com components, ASP and relied heavily on XML, XSLT for the page output.
- This application used databases form Microsoft (SQL Server) and IBM (DB2 AS400). Claims mapping was done using Sybase EC maps.

- This client server application collects inventory from client sites and transfers the XML formatted inventory to a central application server. - Development of a multi user, multi document client server application used for Vendor, Participant, Subscriber and Dependent health benefits management, billing and reporting. This application provides for rate, age, salary, enrollment, termination and benefit option changes including retro adjustment capabilities for each item.
- This application supports product line types such as 1,2,3,4 and 5 tier Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD/STD Disability, EAP and three Life product types.
- Reporting is integrated with Excel and financial data is integrated with Great Plains for invoicing and accounting. Technologies used in this application include Microsoft SQL server, OO Visual Basic 6 development, Excel Automation and Access integration.
- Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) client server application used for encryption and decryption of sensitive and private information for the banking industry. Using Rijndael, the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) symmetric encryption algorithm, sensitive client account information can be collected from a secure web server and then encrypted and sent to the banking headquarters where clients can decrypt the information and respond to customer needs in a timely fashion. The site was developed using Microsoft IIS server and components developed from ASP, HTML, JavaScript and JAVA 2 for encryption.
- The client application was developed using JAVA with Swing in a traditional client server fashion so that the application could be used on several different platforms used at the customer site including Windows, Mac OSX and Linux.
- Team development of hosted automotive Insurance applications used to integrate and streamline workflow for several online insurance companies. Using XML integration technologies across the web, insurance agents can easily choose additional coverages supplied from different insurance organizations to create a single policy in real time allowing for reduced telephone and paper traffic.
