  • Conduct code reviews for all applications.

  • The system consists of a point of sale system, a security system that includes video monitoring, equipment monitoring, a messaging system, audio/video secure storage system, and an alert system.
  • All systems are tied into each other through a card reader system. The system stores all transactions in a MS SQL 2000 database.
  • I was one of three designers of the database structure.
  • I wrote the automated messaging system that allows each system to send automated alerts to any number of designated recipients.
  • I wrote the administrative side of the point of sale system that allowed the administrator to assign prices, taxes, foreign exchange amounts and child products to a product.
  • I wrote the animated “you are here” system that allows an administrator to dynamically assign new location points or change existing points that show graphically where you are and dynamically show other locations in relation.
  • Each location is assigned to an animation sequence that animates the zoom in feature.
  • I wrote the video monitoring system that allows an administrator to assign predefined views and access privileges to users.
  • The video monitoring system also includes a dynamically editable graphical representation of where each camera is located by double clicking on the monitor image.
  • All client interfaces were written in Visual Basic 6.0. Each system uses server services written in VB.NET to process message queues.
  • The automated messaging system was written using VB 6.0, C++, and ASP.

  • The program also maintained an interface with an AS400 by passing and receiving text files.
