  • Member of mid - sized team that refactored VB.NET client application used by the Tennessee State Police for writing citations, creating crash reports, and other functionality used by officers in their patrol cars. Updated ASP.NET MVC web site portal where those tickets were uploaded for reporting and administrative purposes. Wrote LINQ C# migration scripts to transfer and transform data between the legacy database and the updated SQL Server database.
  • Lead developer at the State of Michigan to convert an MS Access application used to evaluate school compliance for attendance by veterans to an Angular web application using Web API calls using .NET Core with VS Code.
  • Lead developer at Michigan State University’s Infrastructure Planning and Facilities (IPF) department. Rewrote Oracle Forms applications into ASP.NET MVC applications to allow easier access to the applications to a broader segment of the user base. The applications included payroll, human resources and administrative functionality (such as resetting passwords). Applications were developed for responsive design using client-side technologies such Bootstrap and jQuery.
  • Created AngularJS / MVC dashboard utilities for MSU IPF, used by supervisors to report statistics on support ticket status for the various work crews around campus.
  • Developed ASP.NET MVC key management application to track physical keys and the resources they accessed for MSU. System was used across campus as a replacement for disparate systems, such as paper forms and Excel sheets.

  • Developed custom solution for Silverlight-based data visualization software that displays customer buildings and employees on a Bing Maps application, imports risk events from various sources (earthquakes, terrorist attacks, etc.) and generates alerts to notify customers of potential danger to their assets. Application was built using C# and SQL Server based using Visual Studio 2012, with RabbitMQ for message queuing.
  • Part of five-person team that developed MVC 4 application for retailer to track incidents of concern to their stores and integrate with the main data visualization application. Application was created in Visual Studio 2013, using MVVM architecture and Razor for presenting the data, and jQuery and Bootstrap for a responsive user experience.
  • Architected and developed an Azure-based Web API weather forecasting system to allow users to create areas (such as a counties or states) that they are interested in watching, using a third-party web service to gather forecasting data for those locations, and returning that information to the data visualization system. System written with VS 2013 using C#, SQL Server.
  • Created MVC 5 / Razor site to combine our support ticket tracking system application and help documentation into one system. Written in VS 2013, application used authorization membership provider in a SQL Server DB to secure files against unauthorized use.

  • Systems architect for a State of Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth web application to allow users from DLEG, the fire marshal’s office, and the insurance industry to report fire loss claims to a centralized location for the tracking of potential arsonists. Application written in ASP.NET, VB.NET, and Oracle 9.x.
  • Lead developer on State of Michigan application for the creation and maintenance of Supreme Court docketing information. System was created so that the clerks and commissioners of the State of Michigan Supreme Court could better track the progress of ongoing cases and integrate them with the Court of Appeals database. Three-tiered project used ASP.NET for presentation layer, VB.NET for business logic and data access code, and Oracle 9.x database. System increased the sharing of data between courts and improved efficiency of court employees
  • Member of development team responsible for converting Visual Basic 6.0 DLLs into .NET web services utilizing the C# language. Project created so that other State organizations could take advantage of judiciary data and access it via a common delivery method
