PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Confidential

.Net Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Architecting and developing an API that manages VMs within a centralized Active Directory within a Domain Controller on the EY Azure network. This API is implemented using C#, Web API, Azure Service Bus, Azure App Service, Azure SQL and Power Shell. This API is a piece of the overall EY Azure infrastructure provision environment. This API is exposed through ApiGee. The API is consumed by Ansible Building Blocks as well as groups doing manual provisioning of Azure environments. In addition, the API deployment is integrated into an automated deployment within an Azure Devops pipeline used by the EY team. Mentored developers on the team.
  • Leading an offshore team of developers, testers and devops as Chief Architect to re-architect the Digital Direct application and deploy it into the Azure cloud. This is one of the first applications that EY has re-architected for the cloud. This initial implementation is to be deployed in the Australian region with plans to deploy in other regions around the world in the near future. As part of the re-architecture we are also replacing Spotfire analytics with Power BI, replacing the internal apps’ Windows authentication with OpenID Connect and the external apps’ authentication with Ping Federate OAUTH. Mentored Offshore Lead and developers on the team.
  • This application is an MVC 5 application consisting of internal Authoring and external Client Experience web apps integrated with AKS services written in C#, Angular 2.0 and using WebApi. Re-Architected application to use .Net Core, Application Gateway, Azure Service Bus, Docker, Linux containers running on Kubernetes, Azure Web App Services, SendGrid, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, OpenID Connect, Ping Federate OAUTH with MFA, OWIN, Azure Sql Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Blob Storage and Power BI Embedded.

  • The Confidential provides a number of web applications integrated with a mainframe system for Insurance Policy Administration.
  • Architect, Design and Implement a dynamic form user interface to address PII security vulnerability using manual letters for all customers. The purpose of this application is to allow data that is entered into the Admin system to be pre-populated into forms while also allowing for manual entry in specific areas with letter templates when generating correspondence with customers. This application is an MVC 5 application written in C# using Alpacajs, jQuery, WebApi, Sql Server and Aspose Word.
  • Improve our check writing/printing application to remove PII security vulnerabilities by adding Barcodes and splitting up of checks into targeted batches for each of our customers. Application is written in VB.NET, Sql Server and Office Interop.
  • Providing an external restful API using json for clients using Azure’s API Gateway to expose internal on-premise XML web services.
  • Created an Insurance Group Application Repository. This repository is to be used to keep track of applications, application components, clients, deployment environments and servers for all of our open system applications. This was implemented using SQL Server, MVC ASP.NET Core 2.0 and .Net Core 2.0 and jQuery.
  • Participated as Architect and lead developer on the Erie@50 project. The Erie@50 project is a project to deliver an integrated Policy administration and underwriting solution between 3 different vendors, Confidential Data, StoneRiver and IPipeline. Responsible for designing solutions to integrate existing applications/services and provide communication mechanisms between Confidential Data components and the above third-party vendors applications and services. In addition, responsible for coordinating development efforts with an offshore team located in India and an onshore BA team and the client (Erie Insurance). consisted of restructuring the database to support different inheritance of Erie’s Servicing agents and downstream agents. In addition, this also added functionality to administer Agents and their hierarchy within the Agent Portal. This functionality replaces the spreadsheet load process that was used to administer the Agent users and their corresponding hierarchy.
  • Confidential Data has an offering for combined billing for their Group customers. Combined Billing takes the product premiums that Employees have selected, combines them in to one bill so that Employers can bill them appropriately in the own billing systems. A separate set of line items are sent to the Carriers to let them know that these employees are being charged the appropriate premium for their products. The system also provides commission information to Brokers that sell the Carriers products.
  • Participating as a member of Confidential by leading the Architecture and Design of phase 1 which includes enhancements of the ComBill system for a new client. Phase II will be a redesign of the ComBill system to utilize the latest Microsoft technologies including all the Core 1.0 libraries to prepare an optimized, more robust, scalable multitenant application that can be used by our customers in a cloud-based deployment environment. I am the lead Architect on both of these endeavors. In addition, I am actively participating in the day to day development, deployment and support activities for the underlying applications.
