3. ACES

Project Description

ACES is a critical application used by ARM business. The application is used by the ARM Under Writers for pricing various type policies. The key users of this application are the Under Writers who are fully depending on this application to do the pricing for the policies based on actuarial and other calculations used by the application. This application had 13 different modules and 25 scheduled batch jobs. ACES application is developed in Dot Net 1.0 1.1 and 3.5 frameworks. This application interacts with different upstream and downstream applications which are in various technologies.

ACES application has been used to write/issue policies for different Lines of Business LOB Workers Compensation General Liability Auto Liability and Auto Physical Damage. This application generates the proposal document for its clients Policy Issuance Instructions for registration various reports and also used for Audit and Adjustments of the policies. The Application has 50 various reports which are developed in SQL Server Reporting Services. It also handles the Pre-Renewal of accounts and other related tasks to the policies.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The application provides a Web Browser based User Interface to Contractors Finance

Reimbursement Analysts for supporting the request review and edits to the internal fee calculation parameters as well as the fee schedules. The providers will place the contract details for creating a contract between the provider and Horizon BCBS. The application allows the importing of code and fee from different file formats. Based on the contract details different types of fee schedules are generated. The application supports the workflow for the approval process on each stage. The approved fee schedules can be exported to Horizon Claims Engines QBLUE and NASCO.
