Software Engineering Lead Principal The Office of the Controller of the Currency

  • I am currently supporting The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. I modified improved and developed new features for the Money Laundering Risk MLR application. I designed and developed a new e-mail application that is activated from Internet Information Service IIS to run as a thread outside of IIS. The ProcessEmail.exe accesses a SQL database to acquire a list of charters that are used to generate the Initial Banker and Final Banker e-mails which are then forwarded to the participating charters. The primary e-mail message is acquired from a SQL table while the remaining supporting attachments are pulled from the file system. All activity is logged for review and successful mailings to charters are marked as processed for the current year. The logged data can be used to monitor the applications activities while the application is running or at a later time.
  • To activate and maintain e-mails significant functionality was added to the IIS web application supporting MLR. Ajax was leveraged for the functionality of dynamically adding or editing the Primary Email messages and subject lines. The Ajax editor allows for rich text to be saved to the database. User controls were added to the application to avoid code duplication. JQuery was introduced to the web pages to make service calls thereby reducing call-backs. JQuery dialogs were utilized for clean logging presentation and function.
  • I created other functionally for OCC that will eventually be used by BANK NET. I created two WFC services for dynamically streaming Banker Email documents based on charter number. There is a Back-End service that receives download request from a middle tier service and returns the requested file while logging the activity. There is also a middle tier WCF Web Service that streams the files over the network to the calling Bank Net page which then presents the file to the user. I am also in the process of creating a new SOAP Web Service Client for Pay.gov Trusted Collection Services.
