Lead Developer / Architect / DBA
Responsibilities:
- Lead Developer / DBA for a Medicare Claim Analysis system. The SQL Server 2000 and 2005 Databases process over 200,000 new claims a day plus 600,000 new statuses a day. It also handles 10,000 medical eligibility requests per day.
- The .NET, C#, C++, system uses MSMQ queues to prioritize and distribute SQL Server requests from a processing farm of over 250 virtual servers that feed Claims into the system. The system also emails over 10,000 analytical Crystal Reports a day.
- Built C# and VB.NET based ASP.NET Websites, focusing on page and database speed.
- Responsible for designing and reconfiguring the network infrastructure to handle the always increasing volume of traffic and the special HIPPA Security and routing needs on the many different network physical and virtual segments, both internal and external.
- Develop the applications for transfer of the inbound and outbound data files to the many external computer networks.
- Created for DevOps a repeatable software build and deployment process so that any developer or operations member could compile or deploy the software with high confidence even though they may not have been the primary developer.
- Converted and merged the data from 3 separate SQL Server databases into a single common database model.
- The architecture and design of the core product allowed high margin products to be built quickly on top of the core product. - Specialized Medicare CWF FISS CMS systems are more accessible through the interfaces I built. (HL7, EDI, X12 837)

- Created multiple SQL Server eXtended stored procedures using VC++.
- Converted DLL's and COM objects from VB and MS Access to C++ XP’s that could be used within SQL stored procedures.
- VC++ DLL's allowed the company to move a significant revenue producer, from a VB/MS Access client only application to a SQL Server 7.0 client server application.
- These backend processes would handle over one million unique web visitors per quarter.

Lead SQL Data Middleware .NET Developer
Responsibilities:
- Created a .NET middle tier data layer to connect SQL Server and ORACLE data sources with 4 independent Web Services. Entity Framework and LINQ drove the operational monitoring parts of the system.
