Responsibilities:
- Participate in development of architectural strategy, including technology standardization and modernization.
- Lead the Microsoft server operating system discipline, ensure proper interface with other engineering groups to ensure continued relevance of the technical solutions, in - depth knowledge of every aspect of the environment, expertise in troubleshooting and identifying problems in support of on-call persons with Level 2/3 expertise.
- Develop design standards and guidelines, as well as automation to insure adherence, e.g. unattended operating system installation.
- Ensure that solutions implemented address consistency requirements of the data and system availability.
- Ensure ongoing evolution of the Microsoft server operating system platform to support business requirements and align with the corporate IT strategy.
- Work with development groups to ensure implementation of standards.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proven experience with Microsoft Windows server operating system architecture and engineering, validated through at least 8 years of design and support experience and at least 2 years of System Center product (Configuration Manager, Operations Manager, etc design and support. Former experience with Microsoft SMS/MOM is welcome. At least 2 years of Active Directory 2008 hands on experience in a multi-site/multi-domain environment are required.
- Strong experience with IP Address Management solutions (e.g Microsoft, InfoBlox, QIP) and the associated challenges in regard to interface/links to similar external infrastructure (e.g. zone transfers, forwarding).
- Strong experience with AD enterprise certificate services, rights management server, AD federation services, and identity manager.
- Strong experience with scripting (PowerShell) and automation technologies, e.g. Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
- Strong experience with distributed file system (DFS).
- Strong experience with HP ProLiant and Cisco UCS blades and servers, enclosures and management systems.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and good writing skills to help implement and document standards and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft development technologies (.Net Framework, C#, COM, ADO, OLEDB, Data Access, Active Directory, SQL Server, Web Services, Security, ADFS, AD-RMS, clients and servers communications protocols).
- Any understanding of the Linux platform in support of directory services, authentication, and access control integration is a plus.
