Monitoring performance of the production environment
Perform Netezza database administration tasks like backup and recovery, troubleshooting, performance tuning and SQL optimization
Follow standards and best practices for availability, security, backup and recovery, and integrity of client databases
Workload Management and resource allocation
Implementation Plan reviews and prod/pre-prod implementations.
Deploying new projects in pre-prod and prod environments
Use of NZ utilities like nz migrate, nzload, nzrestore, nzbackup, nz skew
Database maintenance activities such as GROOM, RECLAIM, GEN STATS, PURGING, NZ RECLAIM, maintaining obsolete views, NZ MANUAL VACUUM for Vacuuming and re-indexing the host catalogs.
