Enterprise/Web Architect

Responsibilities:

  • As Advanced Conversion team lead, I work with a cross - functional team to ensure the data the business needs is extracted and loaded into our new global Oracle R12 instance. CVI is consolidating 15+ ERP’s. The team consists of local data SME’s, business process leads, BI analysts and other technical resources including 3rd party vendors with the required parochial knowledge to assist. Our collaboration results in a data mapping our global applications development team can use to update our Advanced Conversion Web Export tool. The web based application tool allows users a self-service option for extracting data based on object and snapshot of the database instance for that country.
  • Joined the Customer MDM(C-MDM) project team as architect just before their go live with our 1st country to migrate to Oracle. In the 15 months since I joined the team we have implemented C-MDM in 2 countries, Mexico & South Africa. As part of the Oracle Advanced Pricing project a subset of customers globally have been loaded into MDM to support the organizations initiative to not only globally master our data but provide senior management with data on pricing contracts that can be mined by our BI tools. We continue to work with anywhere from 5-10 countries simultaneously on the cleansing and preparation of their data for import into MDM. Data setup and the mapping of our customers organizational structures to the TCA architecture has been an arduous process. The implications for consuming systems are numerous and our desire to standardize globally is always kept in mind while trying to minimize the butterfly effect.
  • In preparation for the upgrade of our Informatica MDM environment from version 9.5.1 to 10.1 I have engaged Informatica support to provide us with performance as well as upgrade assessments. As part of upgrade planning I brought Informatica in for a full week of workshops. We reviewed every aspect of our technical architecture, our pain points as well as the things we liked about Informatica. The goal is to use the workshop report with the addition of estimates from our Server & Storage team and MDM Support team to provide senior management and the fixed assets committee with a compelling business case for upgrading while we have multiple strategic projects in flight that are consumers of MDM data. The stability, supportability and usability of the product is dependent on this upgrade.
  • Implemented Confidential ’s 1st Single Sign on SAML solution. Today we support the authentication of a number of cloud based applications as well as internally hosted websites, Ex: Salesforce.com, ServiceNow & JIRA.
  • In support of our rollout of websites globally I obtained information on the domains we owned globally from numerous sources. We now have over a thousand domains centrally managed by MarkMonitor and DNS updates under Confidential change control.
  • Authored architectural documentation, participated and provided input to technical reviews for initiatives like Salesforce.com, Customer Master Data Management, Oracle Advanced Pricing; Intranet Portal(Kentico .Net CMS)
  • Provided architectural support for eCommerce (custom .Net application) more specifically where it integrates with new applications and other websites.
  • In partnership with our former security officer I reviewed contracts and SOW’s from 3rd party vendors providing cloud applications to peer business partners.
  • Participate in the migration planning meetings and act as liaison between marketing’s development team as well as their 3rd party developers and our global applications support team and development team to coordinate deployments.
