  • Designed, configured (added new custom stages and a pipeline) a collection (iProtocol) to use Enterprise Crawler as the data source, and indexed it in FAST ESP. Tested the search results and created an SOP. Designed, and configured (added new custom stages and a pipeline) ProbesStructure and ProbesSpectra collections. Modified the Index Profile and added a new Result View. Created an SQL script and an xml file for JDBC connector to get data from the Oracle database and indexed the data for ProbesStructure collection. Created new search profiles and exported them from Development environment and imported them into QA environment.
  • Developed python code to create a custom stage in a custom pipeline in FAST ESP. Added terms to Synonyms, Antiphrases, Spellcheck and Querycompletions dictionaries and deployed them. Created and configured collections (including sub collections) for 50 U.S. states and District of Columbia and ran the crawler to crawl web pages for these collections in FAST ESP. Wrote a shell script to implement crawler configuration in Linux at Confidential
  • Did multi - node installations of FAST ESP and did indexing on the local disk, on an NFS mount, and on the local disk of a 64-bit operating system; did performance testing of FAST ESP using Siege on the above 3 types of installations and documented the test results; created a subversion directory tree structure for FAST ESP directories and put the relevant files in the different directories of subversion; created Visio diagrams for FAST ESP data flow in different nodes for Development, QA, and Production environments; reloaded a development system at AutoTrader.com

  • Created, configured, and customized RetrievalWare File System, RDBMS, and Spider libraries in both secure and non-secure systems; created a custom dictionary for an RDBMS library; migrated Spider libraries from RetrievalWare 7.0 to 7.0.3 system; troubleshot indexing and search issues which included modifying document parser and configuration files at Confidential & Confidential (RetrievalWare 7.0.3, Solaris, Oracle 9i, and Windows 2000).
