  • As lead technology developer for the Business Administration directorate of AITA, I documented the business process to determine current state of development and target future improvements for the cost modeling and customer obligation and commitment system called Pricing Tool (PT). I designed, created and maintained the Document Scanning and Importation Automation System (DSIAS) that automated the input of all contracts by use of OCR technologies. It consolidated multiple data entry streams (ACBIS, GFEBS) and added evaluation and decision control features that simplified work of the Contract Officer Representatives (COR).
  • A conservative yearly man-hours savings projection of 2160 hours was realized by eliminating duplicate data. Additional savings to the Acquisitions Management (AM) functions were similarly streamlined by adding a direct data feed from ACBIS, the authoritative contract data source, into PT and other databases, and providing automated analytical tools to AM so to complete manual processing including spreadsheets. The PT application, which is based on VB, Access, Adobe and SQL Server technologies, was upgraded and maintained to give more accurate cost modeling and customer status. Most significant upgrades included a 2800% increase in computational speed, Purchase Request management and security features were implemented like required login processing, tracking and reporting. The Consolidated Human Resources and Man-Power System (CHAMPS) project was re-invigorated by re-engineering the system application.

  • Created the BIC Inventory system for USMC, Installations and Logistics Command (MCICOM). After extensive business and data needs gathering, I conducted detailed analysis of the necessary architecture of the database and application. MS Access 2007, XML, and VBA were used to construct the application for Commanders to collect data. SharePoint was utilized to provide an alternative platform for the application. Specifications for BIC Web were developed and prototypes were developed using a MS SQL Server 2008 R2 db, C# in a Visual Web Studio IDE. DBForms was leveraged to perform transfer code. The alternate technologies for this application that were review were: Visual Basic, TOAD, Oracle 11i, PHP, and CodeIgniter.
  • Worked on web applications in Cold Fusion, JavaScript, C#, HTML and SQL with an Oracle database that is used to track and report on equipment maintenance. Workstation environment was developed by installing VM, Oracle 11i, TOAD, Tunnelier, SQL Server Studio, ColdFusion8, Notepad++, and Eclipse with the CFEclipse plugin.
