Bank of America 
Provide direction and leadership to software development group based in Plano, TX and to teach and oversee global development team in India. Implement standards and processes to make the team most efficient and up-to-date on Microsoft development technologies (.NET, SQL, SharePoint etc…). Day to day requirements include training of members of the development team, requirements gathering from internal customer base, design and architecture of software solutions (including development) resulting from merger between Bank of America and Countrywide and improving upon existing applications where possible. Also tasked with research for new softwares and solutions as new business requirements are brought to the marketing and reporting management team.Originally given a 3 month contract for one software improvement project, now having been extended to 18 months.
Accomplishments:
Successfully combined several disparate systems within the merging companies in the areas of campaign management, online project management and ticket-tracking system using .NET 3.5, C#, SQL 2005/2008 and several 3rd party products. Added web services (using WCF) to the portfolio of technologies within the department removing several roadblocks that existed previously making the sharing of data overly cumbersome.

DataStream/BCConnect
Recruited as project manager and lead for development team bringing new software package to market for BCConnect (a large distressed housing and inspection company). Collect extremely detailed business requirements from multiple sources (including potential and existing clients) in order to provide 3-in-1 software package not offered in the market previously. Responsible for developing and executing plan for high-availability, object-oriented coding, multi-platform, secure software package that would originally be hosted, and then potentially private-labeled or shrink wrapped for any number of large bank or asset management companies. Build and manage team of remote developers to deliver product as quickly and efficiently as possible. Work with direct client and client’s customer base to include as many useable options as possible while delivering the product within the required timeframe. Full discretion to manage outsourced modules to offshore companies, and required to build and manage budget for the full life cycle of the product. This project had extremely aggressive timeframes, budgets and needed to be brought to market based on factors outside the control of the development team or the client.
While still in progress, was successful in building strong team of developers to deliver this software. Painstakinly designed plan for delivering the product to multiple platforms (web-based, Windows client and mobile versions) reusing work and time spent where possible to remain within budget.Continuously modified requirements with changing business needs while motivating team to perform these changes.

Global Oil & Gas
Requested to design and build service for collecting, analyzing and presenting remotely monitored oil and gas asset metrics by previous business colleague now running his own company. Provided direction in infrastructure, software and datacenter options for client.Followed this by managing the design, development and delivery of a software called “Mirage” that collected data using ftp and SQL servers and delivered the information via website and text/sms communications to clients. High level of effectiveness required as clients using the service would rely on the service to let them know when problems arose on equipment that was difficult to service and could result in damages or catastrophic outcomes.
Helped limit client costs by providing infrastructure services and development team without client needing to bring on fulltime labor. Continue to provide service and support for the product which has been shrink-wrapped and private-labeled for state run oil and gas company, Pemex.

Austin Tetra (Equifax) 2003-2004
Subcontracted as .NET Architect, Team Lead and strategist for Austin Tetra in Irving, TX. Developed line of products known as iNET delivered to fortune 500 companies in the area of Supply Chain Management. Instrumental in the design and delivery of the customized software (per client) and created a continuous improvement initiative working with the clients to improve each iteration of the product/s. Worked with sales in a sales engineering capacity collecting business requirements, preparing plans and SOWs and building RFPs that would deliver new business. Also built secure services platform for communicating through the iNET products to Equifax credit bureau for close to real-time results for clients in the procurement processes.

  • Hired to build, manage and participate in team of strong .NET architects/developers in the Dallas office for Analysts International. Using newly created service model, originally required to work as sales engineer to win projects in the Dallas metroplex, then as a manager, required to put together teams of talented professional developers to deliver custom applications and integration projects. Built up local Microsoft practice awareness and partnership. Meet with potential clients to get project requirements, create statements of work and work with sales team as needed. Meet with current clients and seek additional sales opportunities. Maintain strong team and participate as project manager, architect and developer on projects as well.
