- Developed N-Tiers “Public Library Management System” in Window and Web Applications on Visual Studio .NET 2005 platform with C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML and T-SQL interfacing with SQL Server 2005 database. The Library System consists of Presentation Tier, Business Tier, Data Access Tier and Entity Tier.
- Created User Interface in Window and Web applications where the users can interact with the system such as accessing member information including create juvenile and adult members, review and edit/update membership. The user can check in and check out the books and view how many books are on loan for each member. The display page highlights the membership that is expired and the books are overdue.
- Implemented different business requirements and rules such as allowing each Library to have different amount of days for loaning a book and different charge for overdue books.
- Implemented Data Access Tier using ADO.NET 2.0 processing all the requests from the Presentation Tier such as Accessing Member Information, Add Member, Check In, Check Out by executing the store procedures via SQL Server 2005 and pass the information back to the Presentation Tier to display to the user.
- Created Data Objects in Entity Tier that hold information such as memberID, name, address, expiration date in Member Object and ISBN number, title, author, available status, check in and check out date in Item Object.
