- Architected leading edge mobile telecom applications that provided for troubleshooting and installation of cellular sites.
- Led a team in developing and delivering the solutions to cellular providers.
- C#/WPF/C++ solution used by cellular providers to simulate a cell cite base station and validate cell site installations.

Principal Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
- The primary purpose of our group was to work with engineering, in the early stages of development, to provide the tools and tests necessary for unit testing and nightly, build / sanity testing of the product.
- Designed and developed, from scratch, the Perl based, Object Oriented, test framework used for all of our Perl based testing.
- Using the Perl framework, led a team in developing test suites used for unit testing and continuous integration testing of the product.
- Implemented a MySQL database that was used to track and report internal faults that were implemented by engineering to inject errors into the product. These faults (Fault Insertion Framework - FIF) were used for unit testing and error injection.
- Developed a Perl based tool (FifCvsMon) that performed a daily scan of all source code to document additions and changes to the FIF framework. The updated information was stored into the MySQL database.
- Developed a C++/MFC Windows GUI that provided an interface for viewing and modifying the FIF database.
- Developed a C++/MFC, OS independent, multi-client, multi-platform, file I/O generator used to validate and debug our target product.
- Spent two years as part of the Central Test Tools group. Over the course of 30 years (and many different test groups) Confidential had developed, and was using, 5 unique test development and execution frameworks. We took the knowledge, gained from using those five frameworks and designed, developed and delivered a new single, common framework. The new framework replaced everything before it and was used by all test groups.
- A large part of my time was used to mentor junior engineers located at our various offices in the US and China.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for architecting and implementing the automated test systems that were used to validate Confidential ’s iGrid ( Confidential ) product.
- Using Qt, designed and implemented the Confidential Performance Tester (CPT). CPT is a cross-platform, client-server based, file I/O test system used to test/validate the file I/O performance characteristics of iGrid product using both CIFS and NFS file systems.

Senior Advisory Test Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Architected and developed Confidential ’s Multi Protocol Tester ( Confidential ) which combined the functionality of a Fibre Channel protocol tester and a Fibre Channel load tester. Wrote the Windows GUI, and all embedded PPC 405 specific code including the Boot ROM, HW diagnostics, and Confidential based firmware.
- Lead the Automated Test Team in developing test suites for the product.

Advisory Software Test Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Designed, developed and delivered Confidential ’s Fibre Channel Simulator ( Confidential ) which included a proprietary C/C++ compiler back end and linker, a symbolic debugger, editor, protocol trace and associated i960 embedded application.
- Wrote the Fibre Channel FC2, FC-AL, FC-SB2 and FC-SW stacks that were used to develop approximately 12,000 Confidential based FC test cases. Also developed a number of the actual test cases.
- Architected, and led delivery of, Confidential ’s Fibre Channel traffic generator (FCLoad).

- Designed and developed RAMROD which was a tool that used specially developed hardware to verify the functionally of Confidential ’s External Time Reference platform.
- Tool included a Windows 3.1 based GUI and i960 embedded firmware. Led the ensuing test development effort.

- Architected and developed Confidential 's Confidential Simulation Tool ( Confidential ). Confidential included a User interface, proprietary assembler compiler, editor, symbolic debugger, protocol tracer and an embedded application that provided the business logic.
- Using Confidential, led an effort to develop over 10,000 Confidential specific test cases.
- Developed Confidential ’s Cross Point Tool (XPT) which was an Confidential specific traffic generation tool used to verify hardware switching capabilities. Tool included a DOS based UI, with protocol tracing, and an i960 embedded application that generated the traffic and reported results.

Responsibilities:
- Developed SNA, Non-SNA, SDLC, 3270 DS test suites for Confidential 3270 cluster controllers.
- Wrote an ISA/8344 based embedded application and GUI that emulated either a single 3270 terminal, or 8 multiplexed 3270 terminals over a single coax.
- This tool allowed us to replace hundreds of physical terminals with approximately 20 test platforms. It also substantially accelerated our test cycles.
