35 years experience in data processing career path, beginning with a mainframe perations job, progressing through programming career path to present position as Java Application Architect.

Currently developing and maintaining Java back end applications using an Oracle database.
Extensive experience using the Eclipse IDE designing and coding object oriented Java solutions utilizing an Oracle database.
Applications include internet based tax filing solutions as well as porting data to and from legacy applications, and replacement of legacy procedural code with object oriented solutions.
Prior experience with IBM Mainframe, TSO, COBOL, DB2, QMF, Eztrieve, SPUFI, File-Aid, AbendAid, and Xpediter.

Currently overseeing replacement of core batch processes with new OO solutions incorporating an extensive library of forms and financial processing APIs I have developed, our new refund solutions are in Production.
The aforementioned APIs have also been successfully deployed in the online environment where they can form the building blocks for replacement of the former Confidential screens, which are currently deployed as “translated Java”, the result of an automated language transformation.
