Senior Programmer/Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Supported, modified, configured and implemented Accenture's Life Insurance Platform ALIP.
- Created interfaces to feed legacy systems with staging and core data. The work was split between creating Java applications and using IBM's Integration Bus workbench (IIB) to configure message flows via MQ that utilized MFT to transfer data to the mainframe.
- Close work was done with the QA/BA team to resolve issues with our vendor and their base code. Jira and Confluence were used to record user specifications and catalog issues. Receiving, cataloging and deployment of the revisions to the vendor's code was done, as well as many modifications needed to our interfaces with downstream systems.
- Created the batch jobs needed to run the vendors nightly cycle. This was completed using XML streams scheduled through windows batch processes as well as mainframe jobs.
- Developed a webservice to interface an external admin system (OMNI) to our internal agency validation legacy systems using a db2 stored procedure. This was done using Agile and daily SCRUM meetings.
- Converted Visual Basic applications to java and helped develop a java framework for my development team.
- Nightly support of the batch systems was also performed along with troubleshooting issues that arose from the vendors code and/or our interfaces to downstream systems.
