Sr. Technical Architect/Enterprise Architect

  • Technical lead/architect for the redesign and implementation of the new Confidential Rebates platform. This is Confidential ’s largest software development project to date in terms of complexity and innovation. The Rebates Applications is a multi-application, highly integrated and API based system for creating, submitting and processing manufacturer rebates. The project encompasses 10 distinct, federated applications including an on-line consumer site, a client reporting portal, an internal administrative interface and an integrated processing system located in Mexico. All systems leverage a distributed, service based API for processing over 2.5 million rebates per year. All digital collateral is stored on Amazon’s S3 platform for access from anywhere in the world. The implementation of this new system has created an 80% gain in rebate processing efficiency. The system was intentionally designed according to SOA design principles to provide future development and support efficiencies by providing a loosely coupled deployment platform and API of reusable services. The current enhancement project includes the design and integration of a mobile rebate submission application and the introduction of Axway’s SOA/API Gateway product which will allow secure API access from anywhere and removes the burden of identity and access management from the services layer.
