  • Worked on the State of New Mexico FAMIS IV-A Welfare system: Medicaid, Food Stamps, TANF and EBT. Responsible for design, analysis, and implementation of various change request(CR) and Incident Reports(IR).
  • Make new enhancements and major modifications to system using COBOL, CICS and DB2/VSAM.
  • The old legacy system was being replaced with a new Java point and click system. Took care of the interfaces files that go between ISD2 and various users. The ASPEN conversion was from the old legacy mainframe system to the new replacement JAVA/UNIX system. Worked on converting VSAM/DB2 files to something ASPEN can handle.
  • All modifications or new programs are done using Micro focus. Comprehensive testing is done to ensure program integrity before any program, copybooks, JCL, PROCs and PARMs can be uploaded to the mainframe. MF is used strictly for User Acceptance Testing and Peer Testing. Once a week a job was run to keep all programs, copybooks, JCL, PROCs and PARMs in sync with production.
