Software Engineering Senior Developer

Responsibilities:

  • Part of a nine-developer team responsible for a component of a JEE welfare application. I was responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing, and problem resolution utilizing web technologies. Fixed defects and added new functionality.
  • The primary tools I used were Java, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, JSP, Weblogic, WebSphere ILOG JRules, Oracle SQL, Toad, RTC, Eclipse and Gradle.
  • One project was to research a difficult to reproduce bug. I discovered multiple threads were simultaneously accessing the same cached PreparedStatements, that one thread was closing.
  • Another project was to add a new element to a drop-down list.
  • Elements were stored in the database.
  • The new drop-down element in the database had over 30 associated columns controlling how the new drop-down element interacted with various components of the application.
  • The new element also required that I modify a JRules trl file.
