Responsibilities:

  • Setup and maintained medical office LAN system.
  • Setup central network and server to which all nurses' and doctor's computers where connected.
  • All patient data entered in on any computer was stored on the dedicated server.
  • This allowed three nurses to work simultaneously on different computers, and have the data then unified on the server.
  • Set up and maintained office printer/scanner and fax.
  • These were also setup on the network not only so that all PCs could utilize the printer, but also so that when patient records where faxed in from other offices or scanned locally, these items would be placed in a queue on the network allowing any of the three nurses to pick-up the document that pertained to their patient and process it accordingly.
  • Entered patient data into the Availity healthcare billing system.
  • Hundreds of patient records were input and sent weekly online to healthcare providers.
