Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of processes surrounding software quality, including support and architecture of automated testing systems. Managed the releases of the major and minor versions of the Confidential “DataManagement” product (3 major releases and 9 minor releases in this time), a “big data” analysis application that interfaces to Hadoop, Spark, Hive and HBase, and replaces MapReduce with YARN interactions.
- This included supervising and coordinating with a team of test analysts in Manila, Philippines, creating test plans, ensuring availability of test equipment and equipment configuration. In the two years, the organization went from having no repeatable quality process in place, to consistent quality regimes.
- Designed and supervised the creation of a new automated testing platform to bring consistency and repeatability to all release processes and actions. Developed Java code for this platform, as well as debugging open source code incorporated in to the product.
- Advised on Java coding for the new product extensions, class constructions, and particularly for multi - threaded approaches for correctness.
