I have been studying coding in my spare time for 35 years. 20 years with Java as major study and JavaScript as minor study.
I feel in time at least this is like 7 years on a job or 5 years with Java/JavaScript and related tech.
As I am counting that I put in probably an average of 10 to 15 hours per week.
I read many books, dozens in fact and worked on book coding problems.

I also wrote 70 or so articles, podcasts and videos.
I wrote all of the source for the articles.
There is a bit of everything there including local file and database storage, data structures and JavaFX/Swing.
I have put in part time work for about 2 years so far on this site.
My next goal is to port it back to a Java site using Spring Boot and maybe React or at least BootStrap.
There is also a facebook page and group for this site.
I took two courses using Pascal, One with data structures.
