SUMMARY
- I would like to describe some of my personal attributes that might help you in your decision - making as you consider my qualifications for this position.
- My resume outlines twenty years of past work experience and the skills I has employed to excel in my previous positions. In addition to my resume, I would like to share details about my other tangible assets.
- Due to a Federal technical mandate,I was hired by Confidential as a contractor for 6 months to convert 12 of their existing Student Loan financial transaction handling applications into VB6/ASP/VB.NET applications.
- This was successfully completed on time. After the initial contract term was over, I was made a full-time Application Architect with a team of 3-6 people working under my supervision to update and maintain the system. This application became the client’s main financial record transport system.
- What started as a 6-month contract became a 13-year commitment with Confidential .
- With tens of thousands of banks, post-secondary institutions, and the federal government all exchanging hundreds of thousands of financial records daily, this application became their business-critical system.
- During this time, I was the team lead where I successfully mentored many team members and other staff. The application was still their main system and was in full use when I finally left at the end of 2013.
- In 2005, the IT management had started to convert most of the mainframe loan processing programs to Java/Spring server applications.
- With those applications, we created web services to run many client and server applications. I received Java training during my employment with Confidential and tan was involved in maintaining the system we created with it. This experience allowed me to leave my "comfort zone" and later challenge myself with a contract position in Confidential ’s IT Department.
- They used a similar Java/Spring architecture but tan changed direction to develop applications using Groovy and Grails with the Oracles backend.
- I fulfilled a 6-month contract before moving to my current job.
- I am currently working for a non-profit organization supporting their proprietary CRM system.
- During my first 4 years here, I was a part of their development and debugging solutions team. As a team-lead, my staff worked on several modules for this system specifically, donations, printing, and shipping. For the past 3 years, I has served mostly as a solutions provider involved in implementing and providing training to hundreds of users starting from their Canada branch to now Korea.
- During my employment with these various organizations, I has successfully led teams made up of individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, ages, and genders.
- I has exhibited skills in the application development field and in problem-solving tasks.
- I am confident that my experience, leadership skills, and cultural competence will make a positive contribution to your organization.
