Responsibilities:

Teh mission of WiFi in teh City project is to provide free access to a WiFi network in Chicago. Working towards it, a NanoStation2 Access Point (AP) was set up on teh 26th floor of a building in downtown, Chicago. One set of experiments performed included a network link delimited by two hosts running iperf - a server and a client. To provide better and improved service, we aim to study teh various performance characteristics of teh Access Point such as connection status,
RTT, jitter, and throughput. Also, we aim to analyze teh association happening between server and client whenever teh client comes into teh range of coverage provided by teh access point. Also, we aim to find teh optimal parameters such as channel frequency, transmission strength of server and client, offered load, buffer size and packet size to ensure a good quality link at a location where we get a good connection.
