  • Primary developer in maintaining native Android app for Confidential . The app is part of the services that Confidential sells to allow clients to use in the field for collecting Borehole information that can then be upload to its existing servers that later feeds into 3rd party software for analysis. App leverages device capabilities such as Camera, GPS (mainly for acquiring GPS position), and File access. Uses existing REST services for communicating with the server.

Responsibilities:

  • Released new version of SDE (Substantial Damage Estimator) for FEMA. A desktop tool as well as an Android companion that allows field inspectors to enter in information about a property that was affected by a natural disaster, and displays analysis of the damages for FEMA to help make an informed decision on whether to rebuild vs repair. The Android app it self uses a REST service for communicating data from devices to in house servers that can be accessed and validated before exporting to use for QA processing in the Desktop version.
  • Primary developer in releasing a native Android app for NYCDEP (New York City Department of Environmental Protection). The app allowed NYCDEP to perform concrete inspections for both batch plants and field sites. This tool incorporates various algorithms and rules to meet client’s needs. It uses SOAP services for communicating data to and from clients servers.
  • Worked on a team as the primary Android developer for FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) Toll Calculator App. This application allows commuters for the state to select any exit as their start and end locations and then displays the cost of the route that they selected. They can also view the rates for various toll roads either by looking at them in a list or on a map. This app uses Google Maps v2 API and has custom built in markers.
  • Worked on a team as an Android developer for Club Ride App. This application allows commuters who are club ride users to log their commute to and from work.
  • Was one of two primary developers to work on a Social Media Dashboard within URS. It was a means for URS to analyze a social media presence for their clients. We collected posts and tweets from Facebook and Twitter, processed them through various 3rd party APIs to determine the sentiment of them, then created a web dashboard to display the metrics with various charts.
