Responsibilities:

  • Finished conversion and implementation of three clusters. A conversion Cluster approximately consists of 600 programs.
  • Different regions /environments were created for testing. JCL's, PROCLIB's and CONTROL libraries were updated with respect to different test regions.
  • Files and databases were unloaded from the production and prepared for each test regions.
  • The JCL's were updated to point to the Corresponding PROCLIB's, CONTROL cards and PRODCTL cards. Prepared JCL's for unloading & reloading IMS, DB2, Teradata databases and performed unloads and reloads.
  • Unloaded DB2 databases, reloaded DB2 aged files for future year testing. Bound DB2 tables, compiled COBOL, DB2, APS, PL/1 programs using ABEND-AID XLS. IMS databases were sorted before loading because of root segments out of sequence.
  • Future year system date is changed by using VALIDATE or adding VIADATE card in the JCL. IMS databases were unloaded to flat files, aged and reloaded. Converted programs were compiled under SMART-TEST.
  • Programs were tested under smartest to make sure dat the converted code is being executed.
  • Changed SYNCSORT control cards to sort the year by 4 digits.
  • Involved in the testing of Online and Batch programs. Batch testing is done by analyzing the reports.
