Lead Developer
Responsibilities:
- Experience in designing and delivering complex, microservice applications and API development (preferably ETL logic) in Java and/or Python
- Deep understanding of both relational and non - relational databases
- Experience in SQL programming, hands on with any RDBMS like Teradata, Oracle or SQL Server
- Experience in a Unix/Linux environment
- Unix familiarity and shell scripting experience
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Release Management
- Working knowledge of source-code control using GitHub is required.
- Assist in automation of on premise and cloud based Hadoop clusters
- Deliver high performance code into production cloud applications in a team environment
- Experience in architecting, developing and/or maintaining production-grade cloud solutions in virtualized environments such as Google Cloud Platform and/or Pivotal Cloud Foundry
- Hands-on, self-directed design and development of highly-scalable, reliable, and performant pipelines to consume, integrate and analyze large volumes of complex data using a variety of best-in-class proprietary and open-source platforms and tools
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Job scheduling experience using Maestro/Jenkins is required

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Analyze, design, implement and maintain cloud/BigData microservice solutions
- Be a senior technical player on complex data integration projects with multiple team members
- Develop relevant functional and technical documentation.
- Lead, design and develop cloud (PCF and GCP) solutions using different architecture, design and modeling techniques
- Work with business users to translate requirements into system flows, data flows, data mappings etc., and develop solutions to complex business problems.
- Lead the creation of all design review artifacts during project design phase, facilitate design reviews, capture review feedback and schedule additional detailed design sessions as necessary.
- Interact with Release Management, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Architecture Support Database Support, other Development teams and Operations as required
- Lead and contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle for Enterprise Data applications including current production and any future applications
- Create and enhance administrative, operational and technical policies and procedures, adopting best practice guidelines, standards and procedures
- Has led a medium-sized team before with data integration as main technology.
- Has a good leadership skill.
- Provide project status and progress updates to management/leadership.
- Experience with Jira and/or Pivotal Tracker
- Preferably has worked with diverse, multi-cultural, multi-location team.
- Must have willingness to work with and assign work to offshore teams
