• The first phase of the Confidential online vaccine ordering website was an aggressive and record setting undertaking for Sterling Commerce. The tight deadline demanded extensive customization and the completion of the project in a short time frame with little planning while leaving no room for errors. GSK is the first pharmaceutical client using the Sterling MCS solution and this is a high profile project within the organization. The vaccine website was successfully launched in time and on budget. It generated sales in excess of millions of dollars during the first day it became available for ordering.

Responsibilities:

• D&B bought the Sterling Selling & Fulfillment Suite to sell their highly complex line of product and services. My task was to analyze the amount or work and complexity involved in the customization of the out of the box solution to fit D&B s needs. The amount of time given was not much considering the complex nature of the business and the goal to replace a very disparate legacy system that was in operation. The task was completed with documentation delivered to the customer s satisfaction. The project finally commenced on September of 2007.
• This phase of GSK implementation is the direct order phase, which is a lot more like regular shopping cart direct ordering. A lot of GSK specific discount scheme and business rules were applied to make it yet another very unique implementation.
• This is more of a maintenance phase to implement fixes to the pre-booking to get it ready for the 2008 flu season. Some rules had changed and some features were added.
• This project is an implementation of Sterling MCS internally within sterling commerce provide better and more efficient customer license renewal experience.
