Utilized another group’s EAGLE CICS mainframe system for the purpose of resending transactional data downstream to verify issues that have been addressed by our vendors’ updates.
Create SQL scripts to analyze and update the database.
Work with vendor or DBA to analyze and run advanced scripts which address more complex system and/or database issues.

Responsibilities:

Assisted vendor with rolling out the hospital’s newest enterprise-based coding system 3M HDM (Health Data Management) and its corresponding CDI (Clinical Documentation Improvement) system 3M 360 Encompass R2.
Decommissioned Streamline’s current eCHARMS coding system and most of its CHARMS2000 legacy system while keeping its Chart Tracking module active for a limited number of users. Worked with the Tableau Reporter’s subject matter expert to produce a series of reports that replaced most of the previous system’s panels for the purpose of displaying older patient demographics/visits.( )
Rolled out eCHARMS, Streamline’s web-based coding/billing system, acquired from the vendor formally known as Meta Health Technology. This project involved moving the coding system from the existing Windows based CHARMS2000 system to the more robust load-balanced Web platform. At the same time, disaster recovery testing began using a VM environment along with the hardware servers that were already in place for the restoration of the UNIX/AIX servers for the Oracle database.( )
As a technical lead, I delegated the daily workload to the team members in addition to migrating the user profiles from the CHARMS mainframe coding and billing system to the CHARMS2000 Windows based system. This added new functionality for tracking borrowed medical record charts in addition to identifying common deficiencies that impeded the hospital’s ability to bill patient visits. It also involved changing from a fixed length ADT transaction to a variable length HL7 message interface. Continued my responsibilities for performing offsite disaster recovery testing for these applications.( )
Supported vendor and in-house COBOL batch and CICS online modules used by various groups including the Medical Records (HIM), Utilization Management, and Social Work departments. This included program support that was primarily based in a mainframe environment. Performed annual multi-day offsite disaster recovery testing along with other IT groups whose applications also utilized a mainframe platform.( )
