  • Eapol block feature in dot1x for server-fail permitted clients.
  • Bug fixes around traffic loss during GRES in juniper EX-series switches.
  • Bug fixes around LACP, RSTP-mvrp areas during longevity testing.

Confidential

Responsibilities:

  • SRS review, feasibility checking, functional spec writing, feature design, coding, unit and sanity testing of legacy and NextGen Ex platform releases.
  • Feature development and enhancements using C, Linux.
  • Driving the control plane team in enhancements and resolution of production issues.

Technical Lead

Confidential

Responsibilities:

  • Front-end the customer and understand the expectation, topology requirement etc. from the customer.
  • Study the design, code and complexities of fixing the issue. Come up with a feasibility report.
  • Implemented the code fixes like retaining vxlan-ip on downgrading software, bug fixes around port-group settings.
  • Analysis and migrating bug fixes to the required branches.

Responsibilities:

  • Device Driver work: An enhancement work which involved adaptation of the Control Plane Protocol (CPP Module) to the change in Network processor. The IPCS protocol which takes care of signaling (call establishment, release and modification) has to be enhanced to support calls via SRIO(Serial Rapid IO) interface. The communication between the Signaling management module and Transport Software has to support SRIO mode in addition to conventional UDP mode of communication.
  • IPCS protocol should support call establishment, release and modification via SRIO. Where SRIO uses endpoints VSICAD and CPID combinations. IPCS packet has been changed to achieve this.
  • Adapting to the change in Network Processor APIs. NP is changed from WestPort (32 bit) to Octeon (64 bit) processor. The kernel module is modified to use the new octeon API’s instead of Westport API’s.
  • Reducing the binary size by removing nbase library: The crux of this project was to remove the nbase (third party module which provides utilities) and re-implement the same. The major works involved:
  • Remove nbase dependency from TRS module. Adapt the code in such a way that nbase utilities should not get used for FSMR3 Variant of the product, but should be used in other variants as the code is same for all.
  • Re-implement the functionalities provided by nbase such as nbase-timer, nbase-queues,
  • Design of nbase-timer re-implementation. This is implemented by using a separate thread which checks timer expiry for every minimum timer duration. A sorted linked-list with target times for each timers are stored and checked for expiry in every so often.
  • Remove the nbase libraries from the package so that the size of the final loadable package gets reduced.

Confidential

Responsibilities:

  • SRS Review, High and low level design, coding and test plans preparation.
  • Design the state machine for call modification scenario.
  • Test and debugging the call establishment/release and modification.
  • Providing to newbies and involved in all project process activities.

Senior Software Engineer

Confidential

Responsibilities:

  • Studied the complete RIPv2 rfc, implementation of the same to work on the IPOS architecture of Huawei routers.
  • Modularization of the entire requirements (Input module, DV-DB module, Configuration module, Output module). I was responsible for the most DV-DB module.
  • Developed of DV-DB module in C language, which does Distance Vector algorithm and computes the best route when a route update is received. This was defined in RIPv2 rfc. The Data structures used for this were:
  • Radix Tree (routing table storing)Doubly Linked List (for storing Timestamp associated with each route), this was introduced to avoid the usage of separate timers for each route.

Software Engineer

Confidential

Responsibilities:

  • DHCP support, SNMP mib support and web support of vlan interfaces:
  • The Project is an Enhancement of providing MIBs support for VLAN interfaces and providing the DHCP Client feature for the same for S8700 Products (S8700 / S8700E). These have been released in 3 revisions
  • To have the DHCP client support for the VLAN interface and the system to obtain the IP address from the external DHCP server.
  • Support of CLI and SNMP (1st and 2nd release) - This involves writing MIB file for IP module, and implementing the same at the SNMP agent side.
  • Providing WEB support for the DHCP client feature. (3rd Release). - This involves DHCP client module porting and providing WEB and CLI support for configuring DHCP parameters for VLAN interfaces.

Confidential

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and studys Layer3 interface, DHCP RFC’s and gathering the requirements.Design, coding, unit testing, integration testing.
  • Port the DHCP Task from Aricent product releases to the customer code base.
  • Implementation of MIB for VLAN Interfaces.
  • Making the Test Set up Ready with DHCP server and devices in the LAB.
  • Testing of these features through SNMP, CLI and WEB interfaces.

We'd love your feedback!
