Utilizing processes I developed in Ab Initio and shell scripts the team saved over 8 man months of FTE and contract resources by converting 600+ graphs and 300 shell scripts automatically. I designed and implemented a customized Oracle table loader. Using metadata stored in a database, extensive PDL, dynamic creation of PSETS, XFR’s and DML, this application would validate load files and load data as it required. The application would determine load priorities to maintain referential integrity where applicable, the load type whether refresh, insert/update, or append and could also submit other jobs as needed in a “post load” situation. I have development experience in using batch Ab Initio web services using XML and JSON. I provide assistance to the Ab Initio Administrator as well as review current code for improvements and answer day to day development and administrative questions on the Ab Initio product, design techniques, and best practices.
