  • Team lead on a six-month assignment ending February 2004, using Delphi 7 Architect and Oracle 9i on the Defense Blood Standard System (DBSS) that supports the Armed Services Blood Program for the Department of Defense. DBSS provides support for the management and operation of blood donor centers, transfusion services, Armed Services Whole Blood Processing Laboratories, and deployed field units. This DBSS system is a blood banking inventory and quality control tracking product that is a FDA approved medical device and as such required stringent documentation.
  • Documentation required for this project included: SOPs, design, test cases, and production of documents.
  • Worked as the team lead for Patient Services involving person merging of registration, transfusion, and donor records. This DBSS system is used locally at each facility.
  • The version I was responsible for involved moving DBSS to a global level. Part of this involved writing a migration wizard for merging of these records.
  • Also wrote an interface to the CHCS (Composite Health Care System) system to notify them of the merges.

Several new modules were added (Order Entry, Accounts Receivable Billing System, Inventory and Purchasing, Warehouse Management, Sales History, etc.) to the core accounting. This system has been in the process of conversion using C# .Net with SQL Server since fall of 2003.
  • Development of a Proforma Reporting System that takes data from reports of a legacy system to populate a database. Allows end-users to graphically design the layout of the report the way they want to see it. This was done in C++ .
  • Managed full life development cycle to write a Staffing Services management package to track placement, client, and call status.
