• This project is aimed to implement a PMS(Property Management System) Interface Module service called DREService( Confidential Residential Experience) built into the Linux based Machine called MCS(Management Control Server) for Hotels. There is a JSON based web service deployed on the MCS m/c that generates JSON responses for the JSON PMS requests(like Guest CheckIN, CheckOut etc).
• MCS m/c hosts a Confidential Management Control System that triggers the MCS requests(like Express Check-Out, Retrieve Folio and Post Payment etc). The DREService works in the middleware of Confidential
• Management Control System and different PMS Vendors (like LodgeNet and Micros etc). The communication between Confidential Management Control System and DREService is HTTP but the communication between DREService and PMS is either Ethernet/IP or RS232 Serial communication. This DREService opens one communication channel for bi-directional communication between MCS and PMS server. We have also implemented some extra MCS commands like PMSLOG to get the LOG of all transactions made with the PMS. For each PMS vendors, we have implemented its own Message parser based upon their message formats. DREService loads this parser through Spring dependency injection. With the Future scope of this project, we have to update the DREService to support and work with Galaxy and HTNG PMS vendors.
