  • Email Encryption Engineer - Designed a detailed solution that that routed all inbound and outbound SMTP mail through Office 365 EOP. Connectors where created to force the use of TLS protocol between Ross Stores and ServiceNow, thus ensuring all SMTP mail to and from ServiceNow would be encrypted.
  • Directory Services Lead - Designed and implemented of a multi-forest Windows Server 2012 AD infrastructure for Enable Midstream, a new Gas Pipeline Management company with over 60 locations. The core AD infrastructure was hosted in two Accenture data centers on VMware and three secondary and 13 tertiary locations. As team lead, I also oversaw the design of the File and Printer Server and User migration approaches for 2000+ users from external AD forest to the new Enable Midstream production forest.
  • Directory Services Architect - Created the detailed design for a new Greenfield Windows Server 2012 R2 Active Directory infrastructure for a newly created multi-county agency in San Francisco. The new AD design had to coexist with and trust three existing agency AD forest and provide access to a variety of shared resources and productivity and facility management applications. Customer feedback indicated the level of detailed provided in the project deliverables and presentations exceeded expectations.
  • Process Lead - Created all of process flow diagrams and developed the majority of the operational processes for the Operations Run Book (ORB) and Service Delivery Run Book (SDRB) for Novo Nordisk’s global SharePoint project. All of the processes developed were in line with ITIL standards and reviewed and approved by the customer in Denmark.
  • Active Directory Lead - Designed the overall AD architecture, including the Site topology, OU structure and naming conventions for the ExxonMobil’s hosted Web Infrastructure, created the security related GPOs to ensure the AD infrastructure met the Customer’s stringent security requirements and supervised and assisted the infrastructure build team.
  • Process Engineering Lead - Developed all of the operational processes required to support ExxonMobil’s Sitecore Web development environment and the underlying Web infrastructure. Designed and implemented a new Support Desk system based on BMC Track-IT that included both a fat client and Web portal interface. Worked closely with Confidential ’s offshore group and assisted with the transition of overall operations to the offshore support team.
  • Data Center Migration Lead - Managed the separation of the Aviva's North American Investment business unit IT infrastructure from the North American Insurance business unit, which was being sold. Documented the business units’ current state and future state and drove the design and build out of the Greenfield data center utilizing HP’s virtual private cloud solution. Managed the Application Migration and Server Management teams as well.
  • Engineering Lead - Led the Citrix migration team through the Design and Execute phases. The team moved the BP’s virtual application infrastructure from Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 to Citrix XenApp 6.5 platform. Over 700 applications were identified and recorded in a Master Application List (MAL) using SharePoint, rationalized, and addressed during the consolidation project. The migration team met all four key delivery milestones and ended the project ahead of schedule.
  • Hyper-V Architect - Conducted a Private Cloud Proof-of-Concept (POC) for AAA. Designed and built-out two highly available Hyper-V four node Failover Clusters using CSVs and SCVMM. Successfully demonstrated Quick and Live migrations and V2V and P2V conversions. VMs were created on each of the virtual hosts to support SCVMM, SCOM and SQL. Additional templates and Hardware and OS profiles were created and stored in the SCVMM Library.
  • Engineering Lead - Developed several key assets for Confidential ’s Elastic Datacenter (private cloud) SharePoint workspace, including the Elastic Datacenter Assessment Questionnaire (InfoPath Designer 2010), Automation Cost Estimator, ACM Roadmap to help with the delivery of the Elastic Datacenter solution.
  • Exchange Migration Lead - Led offshore team for the migration of over 5000 on-premise global Lotus Notes Mail Users for Baxter to Microsoft’s hosted Microsoft Exchange 2007 infrastructure (BPOS) using a virtualized Binary Tree's CMT environment and Microsoft’s proprietary migration application. Provided pre-migration support, performed post migration troubleshooting and wrote the Online Services Company’s Customer Migration Planning Guide, which was used by their customers to plan and prepare their migrations.
  • Hyper-V Architect - Conducted a Hyper-V Proof-of-Concept (POC) for Starbucks. Designed and built-out a complete highly available Hyper-V three node Failover Cluster using CSVs and SCVMM. The customer built out a comparable VMware test infrastructure. Successfully demonstrated Quick and Live migrations and V2V and P2V conversions. Several guest VMs were created on each of the virtual hosts. Benchmarks were run on each of the VMs under identical loads. The results demonstrated the Hyper-V VMs performed nearly as well as the VMware VMs and in some tests Hyper-V outperformed VMware.
  • Lead SAP Infrastructure Architect - Designed, and assisted with the installation, configuration, testing and support of a new integrated tax system based on SAP for Maryland State Comptroller's Office. The infrastructure was comprised of both physical and virtualized servers and failover clusters all running Windows Server 2008. Over 90% of the non-production environments (i.e., sandbox, dev, test, QA) were virtualized using Hyper-V on a dozen Hyper-V hosts. SCVMM was utilized to deploy and manage the Hyper-V infrastructure. In addition, the production SAP infrastructure utilized Windows Server 2008 Failover Clusters to support high availability. The SAN architecture utilized IBM SAN storage arrays and FalconStor NSS gateways. The new infrastructure was delivered on schedule and within budget. Managed a team of four other infrastructure engineers throughout this nine-month effort.
  • Exchange SME - Diagnosed a reoccurring failure with the client’s Exchange MSCS cluster, which resulted in a thoroughly documented assessment of the customer’s Exchange and Active Directory infrastructure with recommendations for AD, Clustering, Exchange configuration as well as Operational best practices and the customer’s planned upgrade to Exchange 2007 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
  • Infrastructure Assessment SME - Conducted a detailed audit of the Brink’s Active Directory multi-domain forest infrastructure and provided a detailed assessment report with recommendations for reducing the operational costs and improving authentication and authorization for SharePoint users throughout the organization.

  • Exchange Collaboration Lead - Conducted Microsoft Exchange 2000 Collaborative Solutions Assessment for HCA Healthcare. Interviewed over a dozen key stakeholders and project leaders within the Client's organization during three-week engagement.   • Migration Engineer - Conducted a Windows 2000, Active Directory and Exchange 2000 Migration Assessment. Teamed with Microsoft Consulting Services and conducted a two-week assessment and cost analysis to migrate of Turner Industries existing Windows NT 4.0, Exchange 5.5 and Lotus Notes infrastructure to Windows 2000, Active Directory and Exchange 2000.   • Migration Engineer - Conducted a Windows 2000, Active Directory, and Exchange 2000 Migration Assessment for the migration of the Client's 3000-user Novell Netware, NDS and GroupWise distributed computing environment to Windows 2000, Active Directory and Exchange 2000. Findings were presented to Client in formal presentation and 32-page deliverable report.
  • Exchange Migration Engineer - Conducted six-week Rapid Economic Justification (REJ) for migration of the Client's 5000-user Windows NT 4.0 and Exchange 5.5 distributing computing environment to Windows 2000 throughout the Client's corporate office and hotel properties. Compiled 200-page deliverable, which included a Total Cost Analysis (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) for Windows 2000.   • Server Management Lead - Wrote the Server Management portion of the Discovery phase field kits for the Motorola SPS Life Cycle Management Project. Upon completion, the overall project covered 23,000 desktops and 1000 servers located in Austin and Phoenix.
  • Service Delivery Manager - Managed the five-month pre-trial portion of Motorola AMG Joint End-User Technology Alliance project which included the implementation of a new Help Desk management system, operational procedures, and service level agreements for the outsourcing of all of Motorola AMG’s file server and desktop support in Fort Worth. Reduced Motorola AMG’s outstanding call tickets, for 1200 Macintosh and PC users, from over 200 to only 30 after just one month.
  • Lead Engineer - Managed the rollout of Source Services Corporation’s (SSC) new LAN/WAN Infrastructure project, which included 60 Windows NT Server 3.51 file servers and over 800 Windows for Workgroups workstations in 57 locations nation-wide. Project was completed on time and under budget in six months. Designed and documented SSC’s “standard” Windows NT Server LAN configuration, including the Primary Domain Controller, DHCP Server, Print Queues, WINS Servers and standard naming conventions. Designed, configured and tested SSC’s “standard” workstation image and coordinated the image downloads with Vanstar Central Configuration. Also, wrote a WinBatch Script, which automated workstation configurations for users. Implemented SSC’s new mail system, which included the installation, configuration, testing and documentation of the Microsoft Mail Server, three Post Offices and the Message Transfer and Directory Synchronization agents.
