Sr. IT Business Consultant

  • Business consultant lead for delivering number of tactical and strategic projects including two B2B and B2C customer portal projects working with cross-functional teams for the enterprise. Total responsibility for requirement gathering and management, Use Case development, integration and UAT testing. Liaison between marketing, customer service, product management and development teams to improve end user experience. Engaged multiple contacts including vendors and SMEs in a matrixed environment to define solution and identify potential risks and assumptions, develop solution timelines and estimates.
  • Project lead for launching a web based self activation and gift card replenishment B2C site for pre-paid customers delivered under a very aggressive timeline of three months. Responsible for requirements and UI design working with marketing group. The projects involved number of vendors and a third party pre-paid billing application. The successful launch achieved higher usage by subscribers than projected and generated savings for the business by significantly reducing call volumes.
  • Led and managed a project as onsite consultant for an external client to deliver a new web based Call Center application for their customer support and order processing groups. Responsibilities involved requirement gathering, design, development, user testing and delivery. This project used J2EE framework including EJB and Java Swing to deliver UI.
  • As a functional lead worked on a major enterprise project to meet regulatory mandate for the Wireless Number Portability. Project impacted all major applications including provisioning, number management, customer care and billing system. Significant time spent on requirement gathering, analysis and approval. This project impact included vendor applications, data conversion, new data model and implementation of a new telephone number management system for the enterprise.
