- This company is in the process of merging best-of-breed applications between Allied & Nationwide. My duties included coordinating all migrations of the personal line business to the Nationwide environment. This included regression testing, software enhancements (where needed) and job control. The Allied environment was unique in that the job scheduler used a prerequisite approach to process. The new environment required a predecessor / successor scheduling approach. Given this change, I created a system flow document to show how to convert the jobs from one environment to the other.
- Created Excel modules to convert rating tables to mainframe format. This process required importing a variety of Excel rate calculation spreadsheets and combining this data to produce the DB2 equivalent import file. This task also required reporting of new changes of rates. The previous was also done through Excel.
