The Project was implemented in different phases which included New Employee Enrollment, Life & Employment Event Processing, Enrollment Renewals and several other modules. Employees could submit their benefit choices when joining the company, during yearly renewals or based on any life/employment events. The Storage Limitation Project was one of the IT project that was outsourced to India by SLAC. The objective of this project was to eliminate the storage issues by converting the Delta programs into COBOL II using the Delta Converter tool developed by SLAC and all the OS/VS COBOL modules to COBOL II, which resulted in improved code maintainability.
