• With regard to Accounting in the liquid hydrocarbon transportation industry, studied the state of the business, the art of the business and designed a new process around SAP - financial software. Focus was on the CO and FI modules establishing cost and revenue centers and overhead allocations philosophy. The implementation was 100% successful and along with others working in other areas, moved the company from a five day closing to two days. (challenge – business process redesign to fit SAP)
• As a member of a merger team (Shell/Texaco), co-led the SPLC financial organization through a rationalization of existing business process software, selecting the best from both companies and co-led the subsequent transition and reconfiguration. (challenge – emotions and egos)
