Technical Business Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Confidential has a legacy Java System to create the Purchase Orders for 1200 stores as well as their eCommerce business. Vendors are world wide and orders must take the vendors into consideration as well as but not limited to multiple colors, all sizes, store criteria, hot vs cold weather, store size, prior sales, inventory on hand, and delivery schedules. This system was never documented. Documenting this system from a Business Analyst perspective provided the answers as to how the business rules operate and what the myriad requirements are for creating the Purchase Orders.

Analyst
Responsibilities:- Confidential has a number of legacy Actuarial Reinsurance Systems including some manual processes that are being converted to a single new system. As a Business Analyst, I worked with the clients to map basic data, insurance rates (over 3.5 million rates), transaction activity, algorithms, and other necessary calculations. As a System Analyst, I modified a number of programs and created a variety of new programs to extract data to be used for review, verification and reconciliation. I also examined system files for data anomalies and errors which required correction before conversion. As a Testing Analyst, I worked with both the clients and system staff to execute parallel monthly runs to verify and reconcile a myriad of conversion tasks. Conversion complications included working with the old systems that were transaction based while the new system was based on a snapshot of pre/post monthly activity and one system running on a calendar month basis while the others were based on a fiscal month. We also reviewed reports to ensure that the mapping of all relevant or required data was included in the new system, as well as insuring that all custom code requirements were carried across from the old to the new system.

Business Analyst
Responsibilities:- Working with the FISERV (LoanServ) system, I was responsible for validating the Credit Bureau Reporting for mortgage accounts processed as a Deed-in-Lieu account as a means to prevent a possible foreclosure. This activity included a review of current manual processes, FISERV system parameters, and LoanServ system processing. After identifying the issues needing remediation, system parameters and procedures were modified in a test system, accounts were selected for testing and a number of monthly cycles were executed to ensure that the resulting Credit Bureau Reporting was correct.

Analyst - Conversion of Loan Systems
Responsibilities:- (FISERV to FINANCLE), and the development of a reconciliation system to assist in determining that the system data conversions were complete and accurate. This was accomplished by creating programs to extract the data fields from the FISERV system and systemically verifying that the conversion to the FINANCLE system was accurate. This was accomplished by accessing both mainframe and UNIX platforms while primarily using SAS, DB2, ORACLE, COBOL and VBA. Various Audit and Statistical reports were produced which identified both Mapped and Defaulted data fields as well as the Percentages of Errors identified.
