  • Part of the team that developed the AMI interface between Orange and Rockland Utilities’ Customer Information Management System ( Confidential ) and Confidential ’s Meter Management System (MAMS). Developed programs written in COBOL/DB2/Web sphere MQ to pass Confidential AMI real time and batch meter requests to MAMS.
  • AMI meter requests include install, remove, exchange and inquire. AMI meter transactions are sent and received by Confidential via MQ series/BizTalk middleware objects.

  • Monitored and provided technical support to mainframe jobs/procedures that select test cases from production databases, sanitize Personally Identifiable Information (such as Social Security Numbers, Recipient Names, Address, etc.), clone existing data, and delete unwanted or obsolete data and other VOB functions.
  • As part of the project to identify and eliminate un-indexed (un-registered) VOB Social Security numbers (SSNs), investigated and analyzed all 59 VOB databases and data stores to identify un-indexed SSNs. All production SSNs that were selected for testing by VOB must first be sanitized and registered. Rogue SSNs cannot be part of the validation databases and data stores and need to be either registered or deleted. Used procedural SQL scripts and compare utilities to identify these un-indexed SSNs.
  • Decommissioned the obsolete Ticket System Validation Database and ZDSEL processing by identifying all jobs, procedures, ISPF skeletons, tables, and panels, parameter files. Revised ISPF Dialog Manager Code and REXX programs to eliminate processing of the Ticket System.

  • Part of the team that incorporated the ACA (Affordable Care Act) changes to reports that provided distribution and break-down of federal and state funding information for the myriad of services provided by the of Confidential Medi-Cal (Medicaid) program. These reports allocated funds per service (in-patient medical, optometry, hospice, etc.) to the different service programs (coded by Recipient Aid codes) available to eligible Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
  • Part of the team that was involved in the design, development, testing and implementation of some the new Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) pricing methodology requirements to the CAMMIS system. Changes to the system included a provision to allow retroactive change to provider rates for past effective date ranges. DRG is a pricing methodology that provides for a more accurate and efficient pricing assessment of the different Medi-Cal services based on standard pricing for a similar diagnosis set for that geographical location.
  • Part of the team that was involved in the design, development and testing of the project to expand Provider Type/Categories of Service as well as Procedure Codes/Categories of Service Tables of the CAMMIS system. Categories of service for these tables had a maximum of 22 services only. Since provider types and procedure codes now have more than 22 categories of service (COS) associated with them, expansion of these tables to allow up to a maximum of 2,178 COS per provider type or procedure code was done. All programs in the system were changed to reflect this new requirement.
